Elementary School: K3-Grade 5
While classes are primarily self-contained, instruction in art, music, Mandarin and PE is provided by specialized teaching staff.
Middle School: Grades 6-8
Curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry into an academically challenging high school. Courses include language arts, history, and science, geography, mathematics, modern languages, fine arts, Mandarin and PE. Middle School students also engage in electives of their choice that include SIS's first competitive Robotics teams.
High School: Grades 9-12
The high school curriculum is college preparatory with a rich selection of Advanced Placement courses being offered. Currently, SIS offers AP Human Geography, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Literature, AP Language and Composition, AP Calculus and AP Statistics. Plans are being developed to offer AP Physics, AP Biology, AP Chinese Language and Culture and AP World History. SIS is also the ONLY school in all of Micronesia to be authorized to offer the prestigious AP Capstone diploma.
SIS believes in fitting the student to the best university for him/ her. This means that SIS graduates have chosen to attend, two year colleges, Art Institutes and large four year universities including Ivy League universities. graduates.
